Recertification Courses
CPR Response Plus is an authorized provider of Canadian Red Cross First Aid & CPR Programs.
Recertification Courses are designed for participants who have completed training within the last 3 years. Certificates are issued by the Canadian Red Cross and are valid for 3 years. Participants are required to provide proof of prior certification on the day of the course. Please confirm the following information is true about your certification before registering for a recertification course:
Course Options:
CPR/AED Level C or HCP
– Current and valid CPR C or HCP / AED certification (proof of certification is required and must be less than 3 years old)
– Can be from any recognized Canadian training provider
– Can be either an original certification or recertification
– CPR Level A can not be recertified. You will be required to complete the full course again if your original certification is in Level A
Standard First Aid & CPR/AED Level C or HCP
– Current and valid certification (proof of certification is required and must be less than 3 years old)
– Canadian Red Cross certificate
– Original certification (Standard First Aid can only be recertified once)
– You will be required to complete a two-day full certification if your current card says recertification on it
Standard First Aid & CPR/AED Recertification
- Traditional In-Class
- Level C: 8 hours
- Level HCP: 9 hours
- (Level A cannot be recertified)
- Blended Learning
- (Available to private groups only)
- Level C: 4 hours in-class + 4 hours online learning
- Level HCP: 5 hours in-class + 4 hours online learning
- Requirements: To obtain certification 100% attendance is mandatory. Participants are expected to successfully demonstrate the required skills, and complete a written, closed book knowledge evaluation with a passing grade of 75% minimum.
- Certification: Standard First Aid & CPR/AED Level (C or HCP)
- Certificates are issued by the Canadian Red Cross and are valid for 3-years.

- Airway emergencies
- Breathing and Circulation emergencies
- First aid for respiratory and cardiac arrest
- Wound care
- Head, neck and spinal injuries
- Bone, muscle and joint injuries
- Sudden Medical Emergencies
- Environmental Illnesses
- Poisons
CPR/AED Recertification
- Traditional In-Class
- Level C: 4 hours
- Level HCP: 5 hours
- (Level A cannot be recertified)
- Blended Learning
- (Available to private groups only)
- Level C: 3 hours in-class + 3 hours online learning
- Level HCP: 4 hours in-class + 3 hours online learning
